Bast House Farm, Ramsbottom

Contemporary luxury. Heritage detailing.

Residential

For this redevelopment of a collection of former dairy, barn and farm buildings Robinson Construction was commissioned to create a series of contemporary barn style homes in this rural Lancashire location.

Surrounded by neighbouring farmland, the key challenge of the project was to give each of the properties a “lived in” texture and feel, helping to soften the modern lines that give them such a distinctive, clean look.

Instant age with weathered heritage brick

Sitting under modern slate roofs, each property is given a weathered look through the creative use of reclaimed stone and brick, sourced from our extensive stock. Externally this new development sits sympathetically within its farmland setting, while its ultra sleek interiors offer a very modern space, tempered with the use of exposed oak beams.

The distinctive individual character of reclaimed stone

A great example of how modern developers are using heritage materials to give rural projects distinctive character and individuality - especially within a scheme like this where several properties sit next to each other, and the use of different bricks and stones gives them their own unique feel.
